Built by Australian gamers, for Australian gamers. Here's our story.
ShadowCombat was born in 2013 around a folding table in a Surry Hills apartment. Three friends — a game developer, a competitive FPS player, and a journalist — were frustrated by the lack of honest, locally-relevant game coverage for Australian audiences.
We started writing reviews that accounted for Australian server latency, local release schedules, and the unique preferences of the Oceanian gaming community. Word spread fast.
Today, ShadowCombat.pro reaches over 120,000 readers monthly, has covered 85+ esports tournaments, and maintains the most comprehensive game review database in the region.
We accept no advertising deals that influence our scores. Every rating reflects genuine editorial opinion after thorough playtesting.
We review games through the lens of Australian players — server performance, regional pricing, and local community health all factor into our scores.
Our tournament coverage and community events exist to grow the Australian esports ecosystem, not just report on it from the sidelines.
Passionate gamers, experienced writers, and dedicated esports enthusiasts — all based in Australia.
